HI,
I am Ingrid Zhu, a senior student double majoring in Psychology and Information Science with a concentration in User Experience at Cornell University. I believe in the impact and power of human computer interaction design and have been devoted to the design ideas that facilitate assistive technology and more. Video games also play a significant role in my personal development and I am especially passionate about UX and product design in interactive technology, VR, and digital entertainment industries.
WORK EXPERIENCE
In 2020, I was an UX designer intern at FunPlus, where I helped with UX research and design of mobile games State of Survival, Guns of Glory, and King of Avalon. In summer 2021, I interned at Interactive Entertainment Group at Tencent as a product manager for Tencent Game Voice (GVoice), which has been providing services to over 100 mobile games around the world, including League of Legends: Wild Rift and PUBG mobile.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am passionate about research topics related to Cognitive Science and HCI design. Over the last four years, I joined Attention, Memory, and Perception (AMP) Lab to conduct research project on topics related to event segmentation and memory, Cornell Virtual Embodiment Lab (VEL) to research on the effects of social support in virtual environments on pain perception, and Smart Computer Interfaces for Future Interactions (SciFi) Lab to design research related to HCI and hardware fabrication. Recently, I am working with Prof. Francois Guimbretiere and Zekun Chang on a digital embroidery research project.
Feel free to contact me if you have any question or would like to learn more about my research and projects:)
